Lizete Martinez
24:51
I am a new student to SDSU, I was wondering if I could speak to someone just to clarify if Financial Aid will cover the costs of my summer classes because I dont really understand. I am currently enrolled to 6 units for the summer.
Osbaldo Perez
25:36
It depends on your class level that the price will vary for summer, type in on a search engine "Tuition and Other Fees | Student Account" see the tuition fees.
Osbaldo Perez

Lizete, send a message to FAO@sdsu.edu and a counselor can go over your summer award package and the costs.
Mackenzie Salmina
30:10
Do I have to pay the summer tuition first and then be reimbursed? Or will it cover it automatically?
Lizete Martinez
31:00
Pamela, I sent an email to my EOP counselor and FAO@sdsu.edu and I have not received a response
gabriel ibarra jr
31:42
how do I go about disbursements for the fall?
Osbaldo Perez
31:48
If you have a financial aid package for summer with no holds, you should be allowed to register for classes. You could pay for summer prior to summer financial aid disbursing and technically (not guarantee) you might receive a refund, depending on your award.
gabriel ibarra jr
31:53
and the summer classes?
Rondeck Sindi
32:28
I have received an email about a hold on my Summer 2020 financial aid record. I checked my aid link and it is not showing me what holds there are. How do I view these?

Pamela Lopez
34:10

Osbaldo Perez
34:21
On Aidlink, look at your 2019-2020 file and summer 2020 file as well, holds might be on either 2019-2020 of the summer 2020 side on Aidlink (individual account).
Pamela Lopez
34:51
FAO email responsed take 3-4 days
Mia Almanza
34:56

My apologies I just joined so I probably missed this. But, if you are taking more than the "normal amount" of units over the summer (i.e. 18 or more), how does this affect your financial aid? I'm specifically taking 9 units for each summer session, and I'm usually fully covered by financial aid throughout the fall and spring semesters.
Pamela Lopez
36:45
Student Affairs Scholarship was additional funding that we have to award for summer. This may be a one time only award
Osbaldo Perez
37:10
The Student Affairs Student Scholarship are funds award based on your eligibility for summer enrollment.
Steven Chen
37:10
I know this question is not about summer but I am a current student at SDSU and there is a problem with my fall financial aid. Is there someone I can talk to and fix this. I've sent multiple emails and no response.
Osbaldo Perez
38:26
If you take more than 12 units for summer you will pay a flat rate, it will not affect your financial aid anything over 12 units in terms of funding and price.
gabriel ibarra jr
38:26
it says that I have a balance for summer. but I am not eligible for summer classes, how do I go about this?

Kevin Bays
54:27
Same question as tea, I am enrolled for 6 units which cost about 2,083, but my eligibility says a combined 3,100 for pell and state University grant.
Osbaldo Perez
55:04
Kevin: That means you will receive a refund, you summer aid is above the summer tuition.
Kevin Bays
55:19
Thank you
Osbaldo Perez
55:36
Kevin: However, if you add or drop classes, your award will drastically change.
Téa Stephenson
55:42
My award says summer eligibility I’m enrolled in like 12 units I think. Is the amount that that is showing up on the award the actual amount I am receiving
Téa Stephenson
55:51
or is it just a maybe
Kevin Bays
56:12
I plan to keep the 6 units, but just need the holds to clear, thank you.
Isabel Bishop
56:26
So summer aid is dependent on last year’s FAFSA not the 2019-2020 (this year), correct? If I have been enrolled in 9 units for a few weeks and do not have any aid listed under summer 2020, will that change within the next few weeks or will I not receive aid?
Osbaldo Perez
56:29
Tea: its based on your current units, so yes is the actual amount.
Miracle Smart
56:47
