The university should provide you with PPE however you should show up to campus with your own until you can get it from SDSU. SDSU has it.
Rachel Hart
36:08

Phyllis Ferguson
36:37

loripadelford
37:25
What about work that is outsourced that could be preformed by employees?

University of Arizona has a successful grassroots campaign effort to mitigate furloughs and layoffs due to Covid-19 budget cuts; called the Coalition for Academic Justice at UArizona. They are a group of faculty, staff, and graduate students. Is there interest in looking at other models?

Thank you for the Info Tessy
Patricia Gordon
41:15
Thanks Tessy
Debbie
41:31
Thanks Tessy!!
Jacqueline Lane
42:21
I found out a student living on campus got the virus through KPBS., not by the University. Why? Should it not be transparent?
Patricia Gordon

42:52
The Art Department is planning on brining back 30-40 faculty and students this month to campus. Allowing the GA's students to come and go freely, testing themselves. Should this be allowed?
Tina Banuelos Michel
43:26
EBA HAS NO AIR!😩
Jacqueline Lane
44:12
Troy how about the waiver not to sue the University that faculty had to sign to return to campus for research. Is that legal?
Chantel Paul
44:28
Art + Design was told it was too $$$ to change our airflow systems. Some air flow in our building recirculates air from one room to another.
Chantel Paul
45:35
I have a friend there, which is how I know.

Is the president’s recommendation (from her June 8 email) that those who can complete all of their duties by telework continue to do so through the end of the fall 2020 semester, still in play, or is that being negotiated?
Mark Bruno
47:42
Is it possible (if available) to replace exisiting HAVC filters with hospital grade filters capable of trapping viruses thus supplying cleaner air inside rooms/buildings?
Phyllis Ferguson
48:07
What about offices that were not met to be offices but are now. How will these offices be ventilated with good air?
Patricia Gordon
49:22
Is research foundation people included in the repopulation because I work in an area that is mostly research foundation?
cjackson
49:57
How do we receive help from the union regarding a private matter when we've contacted them and we get no response?
Long Lee
50:13
Question: how does CSU/SDSU determine seniority? Years of services, years of service in classification, etc.
Cyndi Chie
50:15
EBA also has a very old HVAC system that pushes air from room to room. Recent studies show that this type of ventilation system may be responsible for the surges after businesses started reopening. We need to push the admin to not repopulate those buildings. Necessary employees should be relocated if possible.
Yesenia
50:58
I think anyone with any type of symptoms should stay home; there are asymptomatic people who can still transmit the virus.
Julie O'Connor-Quinn
51:16
What has the conversation been regarding the Spring semester?
Carol Tohsaku
51:38
@Cyndi - that is a good point about the old HVAC system.
alvin
51:41
if someone planning to retire soon if u in admin leave for few months are you losing length of service?
Kristine White
51:48
That was a good question about PPE. I tried to order hand sanitizer & Kleenex for my department and was denied saying we have to purchase our own. Which was fine before covid, but know it
brendathompson
53:43
Sorry, missed first part of meeting. Where can the entire meeting be viewed?
Jullian Tufugafale
53:58
Are we able to continue working remotely (during Spring semester) even when campus repopulates?
Jacqueline Lane
55:35
The President says to try to keep those who can stay at home and work, but the provost sends emails that seem to be opposite ? Why?
Vanessa Horne
55:45
Are there volunteer opportunities outside of elected positions? If so, where are these opps listed and what is the application process?
Pat Meyer
56:41
Can we observe Meet & Confers?
jlcolvin
57:43
From the Landscape Dept: Will we be going to staggered shifts due to the fact there has been a confirmed covid case within Unit 5? We are still at risk and there hasn't been any shifting in scheduling.

Airlines use HEPA filtration systems to remove 99.9 percent of viral particles.
Joshua Willis
01:00:22
Good point Anne
Evelyn Alroy
01:00:32
The filtration doesn't help if someone next to you sneezes
Patricia Gordon
01:00:40
Specifically, the Gateway building is in question for all these issues.
Todd Rehfuss
01:00:55
cjackson and others.
Phyllis Ferguson
01:00:57
Where is the survey located?
Joshua Willis
01:01:28
unit 9 only gets comp time and a half for onsite work
Anne Dodge-Schwanz
01:01:30
It's true that HEPA filters don't work if someone next to you sneezes, but if masks are worn, HEPA filters used, and social distancing practiced.
Todd Rehfuss
01:01:41
You can reach union by emails. They are all listed for stewards at www.318atwork.org
Jeff Henson
01:02:02
can't you carry the virus for up to two weeks, what good does a temp check do?
Todd Rehfuss
01:03:03
The temp check along with questionnaire help.
Yesenia
01:03:23
Also if anyone else at home has any type of symptoms, the possible carriers should stay home.
Todd Rehfuss
01:04:23
if everyone is wearing a mask and you stay more than 6 feet away from others and this will help greatly.
Debbie
01:04:46
Troy, your background is awesome!

Kristine White
01:08:14
That was a good question about PPE. I tried to order hand sanitizer & Kleenex for my department and was denied saying we have to purchase our own. Which was fine before covid, but know now it’s required.
Jeff Henson
01:08:30
Does seniority cross campuses? I was at 20 years and CSUSM does that time count?
Jacqueline Lane
01:08:47
For Robert, Engineering building is so old that HVAC system would need to looked at.
jlcolvin
01:09:12
From the Landscape Dept: Will we be going to staggered shifts due to the fact there has been a confirmed covid case within Unit 5? We are still at risk and there hasn't been any shifting in scheduling.

Suzanne Finch
01:09:41

Tina Banuelos Michel

Jacqueline Lane
01:18:25
There is a disconnect between what the President is advocating those who can work from home should do so and the Provost repopulation plans.
jlcolvin

Joy Calderon
01:22:20
I take the trolley rather than pay parking
jlcolvin
