Thank you all for sharing a little bit of your life experiences & what led you to create the pieces in this exhibit. They are all amazing!! As a Black woman it made me stop and think about other people of color and what they experience because of it. We share more experiences than we realize.

Did any of you know each other before this showing?

I asked this question in my SDSU art class and I am still continuing to look for other artists perspectives. "Can anything be considered art?"?

Beautiful exhibit! Unfortunately I came in late and caught the last half of Claire’s presentation… Could I hear some opinions about how living Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Phoenix affects your art? Is that city your first choice? I’d also be interested in how each artist views the importance of your city of residence?

Thank you all for expanding on your artworks and the connections to your backgrounds. This resonates with me almost in an opposite way because i struggle with my identity as a Latina. Every time I tell someone my ethnicity they are usually shocked and say “but you’re so white” - I usually just laugh and brush it off, but sometimes it makes me feel like my heritage is made invalid just because the shade of my skin is different than the shade they associate with “Latina”.
