For ECRT, we dont have a designated time needed to request an ECRT presentation, but a few weeks in advance would help us coordinate a staff to lead the training/presentation.

How can you become a ECRT advocate?

And Brandi- I would recommend letting the student know and offering to reach out on their behalf if that would be helpful. Sometimes this leads the student to submitting themselves. Othertimes they will just say yes and allow someone to submit request. Sometimes they are very hesitant and I can help work with the staff /faculty in coming up with some strategies to help with their concerns to get them to be okay with us connecting them.

Does ECRT available to all students regardless if they are resident or out of state or international?

We have not set our dates for our Spring ECRT Advocate Trainings yet but we will have those by the start of Spring semester.

Yes Vivian! All students. Resources will vary because some students have different financial aid eligibility or different circumstances, but ECRT support is always going to be availabel to them navigate all of their available resources.

Susana-- yes we can IVC students with transportation suport if its something that prohibits them from accessing basic needs (like getting to work, childcare, school, etc).

For doctoral students who are enrolled in a joint doctoral program where their tuition and fees are paid either at SDSU or UCSD (and can change from year to year depending on funding), is it accurate that only the students paying tuition and fees at SDSU in a given year have access to these resources?

The AS food pantry is available to any student on campus with a red ID including Imperial Valley and Global Campus students. right now it is open Wednesday and Thursday on the 2nd floor of the student union and Friday drive up option in the student union loading dock. https://as.sdsu.edu/foodinsecurity/foodpantry/

Has the university considered a second orientation around midway in the term? The initial orientation is rather overwhelming. It is hard to absorb all the information at that time. After the semester begins, the student might be more ready to receive this information in October. Just a thought.
